Here I sit,

Watching as mankind drifts deeper into despair,

Waiting for my moment of release

Crying for a new ending,

As beginnings were never my favorite things

My soul is blood red,

My heart is aching,

What is it that I'm feeling?

I'm suddenly giving up everything that I once was,

Becoming a portrait of myself

I just stare into emptiness,

Hoping for a change,

Looking for an understanding,

Heart, head and soul in complete opposition,

The madness is slowly rising within me,

Comforting insanity,

Once gave me taste and it left me craving,

Not knowing, not understanding,

This sweet crazy feeling,

Overwhelming my falling spirit

The moon, mother of night,

She has donned her bloody coat

Quietly she bears the pain of humanity,

Having seen to much of cruelty,

And too much death,

Vicious goddess of night,

Cry your hateful tears upon me,

Let me give up my soul,

Entrust you with my pain,

So I can rest for all eternity
