The "Extinct" Volcano

An explosion in the distance so far away,

The fire mount made today its waking day.

Far below the peak, there was a prosperous town.

Now however, no life moves across that ground.

                    The Ear-pounding blast,

Signaled the day to be their last.

The deadly ash and fatal fire flow,

Became deaths of all who tried to go.

Hours ago, ground was covered with many a' green petal,

Now all there can be seen, is a solitary car's frame of metal.

No more here does any life exist and stay,

                    Lost upon this wretched day.
