Isn't poetry wonderful? Hey! You there, in the back, stop laughing!
-Gwenllian
In Days Gone By
A course is never written out in stone,
For many ways diverge ere tale is told.
Though path is dark and you may walk alone,
Still Honour keeps the roads clear for the bold.
In olden days, men did not fear to tread
Where shining feet of gods had gone before.
Down twisted cave-roads, heroes dragon-led
Did deeds enshrined in legends evermore.
The times have passed when life was like a song,
Or, at least, there are no dragons now
Nor shining knights to strike blows at the Wrong.
Yet myths live on in fading fog somehow-
For new fears come that we must learn to slay
And save our metal world for one more day.
