That Beast

That harsh voice howls through the quiet thin air
Cries of children try and resist the beast
Does not bother to stop, to even care
Those departed heroes cannot save me

Screams cut through me, jsut like all my mistakes
Obscuring the time, obscuring my mind
As I defend myself against the quakes
Running away so I can find that sign

That can forgive me of all my damage
Take me to your home, to your caring life
And stop me from falling over the edge
And release my obsession to the knife

Lock away the drunken beast in that cage
Cruel words slash no more at what I have changed
