Oblong Star
I could see it ,the crest of heaven
The light of Lumardwai
The last beacon in a sea of black night
I stared long into the depths of this tiny diamond on the horizon
My universe seemed that much smaller
"don't let her see us go"
I heard the whispers
Saw the shadows of the men by the door
My escorts abandoning me, sneaking away
Like insects in the night they leave
Their shadows reaching far up the walls
And I cry silently
This is my moment, my time to be the sovereign
My life's worth hangs in the balance
I look towards that distant star
A reflection of myself
