"Embracing Death"
No one dares to speak the word aloud.
Suicide-
the end of teenage monotony.
We all walk through life, our heads in a cloud
of our own pain and misery.
Does anyone else even matter today?
We wander around, uncaring and cold,
So why, I ask,
do you delay the inevitable?
Death sometimes beckons
from afar
Tempting, taunting, enticing
Come, the whispers say,
Escape now, this very day
And then time stops
As we decide
Shall I go
or shall I hide?
It seems life has no meaning
Nevermore-
Painted pictures of memories-
Some you wish you did not recall-
flash before exhausted vision.
Is it worth it?
Can I fall?
Now that it's over,
will they miss me at all?
Of course not, the whispers purr
with a peaceful smile
I leap into the waiting embrace
of Death.
