If now is now,

What pray tell happens

When now becomes then?

Has it become a past now?

Or maybe a future then

To another person.

And then nows that have

Not come to pass,

Well then,

What are they,

But the future then

To someone else, somewhere else.

And can one hold two nows together,

or must one become a then.
