Playtime

I woke up one mourning I knew it was another day Wake up, Wake up mommy It's time for me to play.

She woke up and smiled at me Then sat me on the floor. She knew exactly what I wanted I headed for the door.

First stop was my brother's room I crawled over to his bookshelf. I sat down in front of it And pulled the books down by myself.

Next stop was the bathroom The door was closed I couldn't go in. My mommy picked me up saying, "no no," And put me in my playpen.

That was okay Fine by me. My playpen filled with toys Was where I wanted to be.
