Poet's Notes
: Brought on by the same song as "Death" was, and no, I still can't remember the song. *sigh* This one is a bit more angsty. It's Not Fair
By Katie of Gryffindor
You say goodbye and close your eyes
You never hear your family's cries.
You pass on, your soul if flies.
That's what happens when someone dies.
Seeing Death knock at your door,
It could be scary, but I'm not sure.
I suppose not when there's pain no more.
But I know it's not what I hope for.
Death comes to people so many ways.
It comes to some after Disease's stay.
Some are given an execution day.
But Death's not good, no matter what they say.
It took my dad after months of hurt.
It took the pain from Grandmom Myrt.
But there's no pain for that Death-Row dirt.
No, their deaths come all swift and curt.
What I don't get is who gets which.
Dad and Grandma never bitched.
But murders die with the flip of a switch.
Why do good people get thrown the worst sitch?
Why do the good people get the hurt and pain,
And there's just a needle for the crininally insane?
I don't think anyone can explain
Why do good people have to go through all that strain?
Here's my thoughts on this matter:
The evil ones should all be battered
Yes, either beaten so their bones get shattered
Or disease rips them apart, I'd choose the latter.
Then the good people, when it's time to go,
Just push a button and end the show.
That way the pain is at an all-time low
And they can say so long to those they know.
I wish that my wish could come true,
And that whole push-button thing would do.
After all the pain I've seen people go through,
I wish things could change. What? Don't you?
