All the world is lost

In bland fields of grey

With all the world listening

To hear just what you say.

A volcano's fiery plume,

Frozen in mid-air

Crumbles into dust

As you lay me bare.

Mountains rise and crumble

To smite me where I stand

When you dare to fail

To reach out for my hand.

I'm drowning in a sea of tears

Created by the flood.

For when I feel pain freely

The ground is watered with blood.

All the world is fallen.

And I've known naught but pain.

Because when you dared to spurn me

You became my existence's bane.
