? A/N: okay this is my newww story. so tell me what you think. woohoo!! I heard my bedroom door creak open. I opened my eyes. Even though the blinds were closed, light was still peaking through. I pulled the covers over my head. I figured it was my mother coming to wake me up for school.

"Nin... it's 7:10, you might want to wake up." my little brother Ryan told me.

I rolled over and pushed off the covers. I stared at him.

"How about I don't go to school, and you call Ben and see if you can get a ride with him and Zach?"

"Hell no." Ryan walked over to my bed. "Plus you have that field trip today and you HAVE to go or else you fail English."

"Oh god." I sighed as I sat up. "I'm going. I'm going."

I walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of black baggy pants and then I walked to my dresser. I grabbed a black thong, a black bra, and my black tank top that was sitting on top of my dresser.

I slowly walked down the hall and went into the bathroom. I took a shower and then got out and got dressed. I brushed my hair and blew it dry.

I looked in the mirror and sighed.

Okay... your probably wondering who I am. My name is Nina Michelle Grover. When I was five I decided that I didn't like the name Nina, and I told everyone to call me Nona. People in my family still call me Nina but most of my friends call me Nona. I have shoulder length dirty blonde hair (that I dye black and highlight different colors every now and then) and dark brown eyes. I am 16 years old and a sophomore at Weddington High School in Weddington, North Carolina.

I live in a pretty big house in Crystal Ridge, the biggest sub-division in Weddington. I live with my mother, my stepfather, Ryan and my half sister Kaylee. Ryan is 15 and in 9th grade. Kaylee is four but she's not in preschool yet. I have an older brother Shawn but he doesn't live with us because he has an apartment in Charlotte with his friend Corey. Ryan and I visit him a lot because we hate staying at home. Our father left right after Ryan was born.

Okay since I'm wearing ALL black so far you probably think that I'm a goth. I'm not though. I'm more of a punk. I've never been a prep and I will never be a prep. Not all preps are bad because some of my best friends are preppy, but it's not my thing. And just because I'm a punk doesn't mean that all I do is cause trouble, but I'm quite the troublemaker. I don't get caught for most of the things that I do though, and that makes it more fun. My mom thinks I'm a bad influence on Ryan and Kaylee, but Kaylee doesn't really see the way I act, and Ryan is so his own person. Ryan can be more of a troublemaker than I can. For example, on Monday our mom got called to the principal's office because Ryan was being "disruptive" in class by throwing scissors.

Anyways... today is Wednesday and we have a stupid field trip for English that's worth 25% of our grade and I didn't finish one of the projects worth 10% of my grade, so I got marked down and I have to go. I walked out of the bathroom and put my pajamas in the laundry room and then I went back into my bedroom.

I pulled black flip-flops out of my closet and then walked over to my desk. I put on light gray sparkly eye shadow, mascara, a little foundation and some white lip-gloss. I put on my charm bracelet that Ryan got me for my birthday two years ago, and a few black bracelets on each hand. I shoved some money in my back pocket. I grabbed my car keys and walked down the hall to Ryan's room.

"Ry, where's your gray hoodie?" I asked him.

"In the closet." he sat there staring at me.

"Get it you dumb ass." I rolled my eyes and walked down the stairs into the kitchen.

Kaylee and my mom were sitting at the island in the middle of our kitchen eating pancakes.

"Nina do you want some pancakes?" my mom asked.

"Nona mommy." Kaylee corrected her.

I ignored my mom and tried not to laugh at Kaylee as I walked to the fridge and pulled out a mocha frappachino.

"Nina. Answer me."

"No I don't want any pancakes." I said setting the mocha frappachino on the counter. "Where's my cell phone?"

"In the car." Ryan answered as he walked in the kitchen and threw his grey hoodie at me.

Okay, I'm not weird. I just like my brother's gray hoodie and I didn't feel like wearing any other color today.

I put it on and then grabbed the frappachino and walked to the front door.

"What time are you going to be home?" Mom asked walking to the front door with us.

"7:30." Ryan answered.

"Why so late?" she asked.

"How are you getting there?"

"Zach Vanderwall." I answered.

"How are you getting home?"

"I'm picking him up and were going to Little Caesars to get pizza. So you don't have to worry about dinner for us two."

"I'm going out of town anyway. I'll be gone until Sunday. Where are you going to be all afternoon?"

"Kaymi's." I slung my backpack over my shoulder.

"I need you to come home by 6:00 to bring Kaylee to Grandma's, because Dad wont be home until around 1:00 cause of the hockey game."

"You mean Tom won't be home until 1:00 cause of the hockey game." I opened the door.

"Nina, knock it off."

"He's not my dad. Come on Ryan. We don't wanna be late." I said and Ryan followed me out the door.

"Nina if your not home to bring Kaylee to Grandma's you'll get grounded." She yelled after me.

"Big whoop. It's not like you let me do anything anyways." I rolled my eyes and got in my black explorer. It used to be Shawn's but he got a truck last year so I got the explorer when I got my license.

"You know your really going to piss her off one of these days." Ryan told me as he shut the door.

"Since when do you care?" I asked. I pushed in my Good Charlotte CD and "Anthem" started playing.

"I don't. But she'll probably end up killing you one of these days."

"She can kiss my ass." I backed out of the driveway.

"She'd rather kick it."

"She would just have to catch me then wouldn't she?"

"Yeah I guess. So if she's gonna be gone until Sunday and Tom wont get home until like 1:00 every night... we have the house to ourselves don't we?"

"Pretty much."

"Good. Can Ben come over on Friday?"

"I guess. I don't care. I probably wont be home."

"Where are you going to be?"

"Kaymi's boyfriend Joey's older brother is having a party. All the juniors and seniors are going to be there."

"Meaning Zach will be there."

"What's your point?"

"You're only going because Zach is going."

"That's so not true. Zach and I are just friends and that's all we will EVER be." I said pulling into a parking spot in the parking lot at school.

I shoved my cell phone in the pocket on Ryan's hoodie and then grabbed my backpack and my mocha frappachino. I locked the car and walked towards the front of the building.

"Yeah but that's not all you used to be." Ryan said catching up with me.

"Oh go to class." I glared at him.

"Alright. See you later." he smiled and walked away.

"Ryan!" I yelled.

He stopped and turned around.

"Be good today." I pleaded. "Mom will kill you if she's called to the office again."

"I will." he grinned and ran to catch up with Ben.

I felt someone's arms around my waist. "Hey gorgeous." A guy said. I knew who it was.

"Hi Zach." I said dully pulling myself out of his arms, noticing that his friends Derrick, Jacob and Adam were behind him.

"What? Aren't you happy to see me?" he asked.

"Zach knock it off."

All right I have known Zach since I was 6 years old. He was 7 when we met. Last year we went out and we went through a lot of shit together. Eventually things got to complicated and we broke up, but decided that we couldn't just throw 7 years of friendship down the drain, so we were going to stay close, and we have. Zach is like a big brother to me, but when Zach is around his friends, he is a complete jerk. When it's just him and me alone or with his family or with REALLY close friends, he's the sweetest guy you'll ever meet. Zach has four brothers... JP (freshman in college) James (senior in high school) Max (my grade) and Ben (Ryan's grade). They are the most popular family in Weddington and are VERY well known throughout Charlotte, Monroe, Waxhaw and a few other cities in lower North Carolina.

"Nin..." he said in his seductive voice.

"Non..." I said back in his face. "Hey guy's I'll catch up with you later." Zach looked at the guys and the shrugged and walked off. "Ninny, what's wrong?" he asked.

"Z, when you're around your friends, you're an ass to me and I don't feel like putting up with it." I said as he opened the door and I walked through. "But you know how I feel about you."

"Yeah I do, but until you can get over your stupid ego, and stop caring what other people think, and stop being such a perv to me in front of your friends, I don't wanna deal with you." I went to my locker and opened it. I put my keys, frappachino, and cell phone in it.

"Another thing... in front of your stupid friends do not call me that." I interrupted him.

"Nona. Calm. You know I love you and I'll work on the stupid ego thing okay? But it's not as easy for me to not care what other people think when I have been brought up to do it."

"Fine Zach, but you better hurry up because I am sick of your bull shit." I grabbed my Eeyore pen out of my magnetic pencil case that's hanging in my locker and then grabbed my English folder. I shut my locker and Zach and I walked to his.

"So you're going to David's party right?"

"Are you aware that you and Kaymi are going to be the only sophomores there?"

"Don't you mind?"

"Do you want me to pick you up before? We could go out and get something to eat and then go to the party."

I turned my head down the hall to see my "boyfriend" Neil Smith walking down the hall. "That sound's good." I said looking back at Zach.

"Good. Will your mom mind I'm picking you up?"

"My mom will be out of town and Tom wont be home until 1:00."

"Awesome... that means you can stay there later."

"Yeah but I have to be home before Tom is because Ryan will be there and he wants Ben to be there and if Tom comes home and they are home alone then he will KILL me."

"Alright. I'll have you home, don't worry Nin."

"Ahh I'm going to class now. I have that stupid field trip for English."

"Okay. See you 4th period." he shut his locker and started to walk away.

"Bye." I walked in the opposite direction as him. I walked down the hall to the English room, went in and sat down next to Kaymi and Joey.

"Hey Nona." Joey said.

"What are you doing before David's party?" Kaymi asked.

"Um... Zach just asked me to get something to eat with him before the party and then we'd go together." I replied.

"Are you going out with Zach again?" my friend Marissa asked sitting down in front of me.

"No." my eyes got big.

"Sure." Kaymi nodded as Mrs. Frost walked in the room.

"Okay class. The bus is here, so were going to go outside and get on the bus. Were going to be missing your lunch so some of you will be eating during the juniors and seniors. If you don't want to sit in there than you can come back in eat in my room. Now go outside and get on the bus." Mrs. Frost commanded.

I followed Kaymi and Marissa as we shuffled out of the classroom and out the back doors of the school. We all got on the bus.

I sat in one of the back seats with Marissa. I was next to the window. I watched as everyone else shuffled on the bus, but when Neil got on the bus and sat down three seats in front of me, I turned back to Marissa and Kaymi.

This was going to be a long field trip.

A/N: okay that was it. tell me what you think so far and if you think I should continue! Thanks! =)
