Silver Tears
The final battle
Strong and true
Lives on forever
In the black hue.
The silver dragon
Brave and braw
Beneath the sun
With night abroad.
The storm approaches
As Night draws near
With flaming red eyes
Reflecting on the sphere.
The falling stars
Fade to fire
And flicker dimly
Before the elf's ire.
The valley's tremble
And shared the sorrow
With the fleeing elves
When they left on the morrow.
The black dragon's flight
With cause of much fright
Brought a hopeless cry
Before the silver dragon's blight.
Among the war cries
Silver upon black
Light versus dark
The light launched the attack.
Claws upon claws
Wins against wings
Teeth gorged the leather hide
When the griffon sings.
Burdened by injury
With silver tears of anguish
The dark dragon fell
Though without becoming languish
A fight to the end
With one last breath
He struck forward
On his dance of death
The light dragon collapsed
Consumed and drained
And there he laid
Until the last moon waned.
The unicorns cried gold tears
Reminiscing about the silver protector
That fought in the final battle
But was now only specter.
Blue eyes watch over
The land until break of day
In light they disappear
To reappear at light's last ray.
