Open my eyes to blindness

For only the blind truly see

I must bleed constantly to continue

Good health in no legacy.

Listening for the silence

Of only in quite can music be found

I must sob in my soul quietly

And never make a sound.

Shut myself out for understanding

Only in oblivion can life be understood

I must hide my face to be seen

There is no life outside of this hood.

Hate it all to love it

For I must see contrast to admire

All the world's in black and white

And light to bring me out of this mire.

Shutting you out to bring you in close

I must observe to see if it's worth it

And I hate the world and all in it

Though I love you the most in this pit.
