Fainted shades of greying light
Shimmer and shiver out of sight
Fade from opaque to clear
What one can't see one must fear

Solid bodies transcend in the shade
Blunt but useful, your overused blade
Used for everything, its use extended well
You might be an angel, but even an angel fell

Darkness in the light, light in the dark
My passion is poison leaving its mark
Stain glass frames show in the flames
Of stinging resent from which I was maimed

Shadows show from white to black
Faded away and faded in back
Fear what I see; see what I don't
Don't know if I think or if I just won't
