the lights flashed outside

they made her dizzy

she always said

I stared at the walls

men in suits walked

through our halls

and still no answers came

bleeps and static

like it was a game

I got up

I walked out

ignored by the men in blue

the room was

white

In another life

in another time

it was clean

maybe

not then though

it had been dirtied

and not just by him

it had been sullied

too many eyes had seen it

too many hands had felt around

the beads from her bracelet  were scattered across the floor

they spelled clarity

and I picked them up

she was gone
