It starts with the dropping of the puck

The players go and there goes my love

And he scores the first goal with a little bit of luck

That's my hockey player my love

When he is the goalie he blocks the shots

As he catches the pucks with his glove

When the play stops it stops on the spot

When he is on offense he flies swift and sure down the ice

Here comes Marchment. He just dropped the gloves

Watch out! Here comes his fist and sends his opponent to the ice

That's my hockey player my love

When he is on defense against a power play

When the other team shoves

He is bound to make the other team pay

That's my hockey player my love

When he is the winner

He listens to the happy cries from the fans above

This shows that he likes to play in the winter
