You say hello
And I say nothing
Don't you wonder what's wrong
with me?
Don't you want to turn away?
What do you think when you see the real me?

Would you understand?
Would you turn away if I revealed
The true me
You think I'm happy, cheerful, innocent
But I'm not
Just the hikari of my true self
I'm always cold, sad, and I know what's goin' on
in the world
People think that they don't have money
for a snack, they starve
Well, what would they say when other people
don't eat for weeks and survive?
Isn't it time for us to open our eyes
And see that the future for others are not bright
As ours are, and we have to help them
I'm grateful for all these granted things
But I'm missing the most inportant thing
A real friend to talk to
A real friend who would actually listen
A friend to help me through the bad times
A friend who needs a friend like me
Don't you wonder when I don't reply?
Don't you think I'm a little strange?
Don't you think I'm ignoring you?
Well, if you do, it's just the real me
Sometimes I just need some time alone
You think you know me inside out
