Shades of Purple

Lying on the stone floor
I taste my own blood
I smell the decay within
I'm lying in a pool

The bruises are beautiful
Shades of purple and blue
A new one colors my cheek
I welcome the pain

My hair is uncombed
Dripping wet; dyed red
The beautiful crimson shampoo
Against the stone - conditioner

I'm lying in my blood
Tasting the bitter-sweet salt
I can't get back up
All I see is black

Shades of purple
Make up my legs
I did it to myself
I've given up
