I live in a life that is hard,
I live in a life that is cruel.
My life is like a ship on a journey.

The ocean around me is always rough,
And I'm always afraid I might sink.
Everyday I ask myself the same questions,
Will I see the light-post,
Will I reach the shore,
I am never really sure.

I need a tugboat to pull me away,
I need a tugboat to show me the way.
For as the days go by,
My fuel starts running low,
And I start setting off course.

And I start wondering what will happen to me.
Will the tugboat come in time,
Will I see the shore another time.
I wonder if I'll find a guiding light,
I wonder if I'll make it though this hard life.
