Friday: Night of the Dance
Aliena took a glance in the mirror, it was almost 7:30 and she was ready to go. She looked like she came out of a fairy tale. With her white gown and crystal white shoes, you'd think she was a princess of some country. As she was putting on her necklace and earrings, the doorbell rang. She smiled widely and slowly opened the door, her eyes widened when she saw that it wasn't David standing at the door, it was Kevin.
"Hey Aliena," He said coolly, stuffing his hands into his pockets and looking her over. "You look fantastic." He took her hand and kissed it lightly. Aliena raised a brow and slipped her hand out of his.
"Thanks Kevin," She said and peeked her head outside the door, looking around for Mary. "Where's Mary, aren't you her date tonight?"
"Yeah, but I wanted to see you first." He smiled then peeked around inside.
"Oh, how rude of me. Um, come in." She stepped to the side and let him slowly step in.
"Nice place."
"Thank you. Um, is there something you wanted to tell me, because David-"
"I just wanted to talk, we haven't really talked since the break up."
"We can talk at the party Kevin, now please go before-" Aliena's sentence was cut short by a knocking sound. "-David comes." She mumbled and slowly opened the door. David smiled at her then looked to the relaxed Kevin.
"What is he doing here Aliena?" David looked to her, his blue eyes turning icy. Aliena glanced at Kevin and frowned.
"I was just trying to figure out the same thing." She replied. Kevin smirked and walked towards the door.
"It's a pity you had to ruin my fun, I was about to show her the time of her life." He whispered and shoved past him out the door. Aliena closed it quickly and looked at David, looking him over. He had on his white tuxedo, a white rose in his pocket and a white cane. Aliena smiled lightly to herself then quickly started to explain why Kevin was at her house.
"David I didn't expect for him to come here. He said he wanted to talk and I told him we could talk at the party and I was asking him to leave when-" The rest of her sentence was cut off by a loving kiss, courtesy of David. Aliena blushed deeply; she would never get use to his small surprises.
"I know you wouldn't cheat on me Aliena, you're too good for that. Kevin has been obsessed with you ever since you showed him what Mary really is."
"Over me? He's probably just jealous so don't worry about it. Nobody is going to ruin this evening okay?"
"Alright. Let's get going then, my surprise is still outside." He said and took her hand, leading her outside.
"More surprises?" She smirked as she closed the door then gasped as she turned around, her eyes meeting a stretch white limousine. The driver held the door open, a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
David smiled at her expression as he took the flowers from the driver's hand, giving them to her, "For you, Princess Aliena." he said and took a small bow.
"Thank you Prince David," Aliena giggled lightly and slipped into the limo, smelling the flowers. "This is wonderful, how long have you been planning this?" she asked, placing the flowers on the spot next to her.
"A few weeks. I'm glad you like it," He smiled and slipped into the limo beside her, Aliena snuggled up beside him and soon the limo was on it's way. "Tonight is going to be the best night you ever had. I promise." David whispered into her hair, sealing his promise with a kiss on her forehead.

Ding Dong.
Mary switched off the television and stomped towards the door, swinging it open, "Where the hell have you been? It's already 8:30! I've been sitting here-"
"Put a cork in it Mary." Kevin mumbled, thrusting a bouquet of wilting red roses into her hand. Mary scoffed and stuffed the roses into the trashcan.
"Treat me with some respect Kevin, at least -act- like you want to be with me."
"That's a hard role to play."
"Shut-up and lets just go." Mary mumbled and grabbed her purse, walking out the door.
"So what are you going to drug David with?" Kevin asked as they drove out of the parking garage.
"A common date rape drug. It's liquid and it's clear, he won't notice." Mary pulled a vial out of her purse, twirling it around.
Kevin glanced over at the container and shrugged, "Well it's better than E."
"E is too risky. This lasts only a few hours, long enough for me to cause havoc," she stopped for a moment to let out a shrill giggle. "Tonight is going to be great."
"Whatever you say Mary. Well I already set it up so Aliena thinks I want to talk to her. Let's get this over with please." Kevin parked the car and stepped out, starting to walk towards the building.
"Wait." Mary grabbed his arm, linking it with hers. Kevin sighed and rolled his eyes, walking into the building very annoyed.

"Ronald hurry up!" Crystal whispered fiercely, ducking behind a wall as two more teenagers past.
"Sorry Crystal, but this bag is heavy!" Ronald whined, pulling a big brown bag behind him.
"Let's just hurry up okay?" She grabbed his hand and ran toward the steps. Ronald groaned as he stumbled up the steps and onto the balcony. Crystal glanced at him and shook her head slightly, "Ronald stop fooling around, we only have a few minutes."
Ronald stuck his tongue out at her and pulled a large container of Kool-Aid out of the brown bag. Crystal took out two bags out flour, a package of feathers, and a package of balloons.
Ronald tilted his head with curiosity and picked up the package of feathers, examining it, "What exactly do you plan to do Crystal?"
"You'll see," She grinned and peeked over the balcony, narrowing her eyes in on Mary and Kevin as they entered. "It's show time." She grinned and took out a long rope from the bag, tying it to a bar above them.
"What are you doing?" Ronald asked, watching the growing crowd below them.
"Just watch. Hand me the juice." Crystal commanded. Ronald pushed over the large bottle of Kool-Aid and watched as she filled all the balloons with it. "Is this even legal?" He asked nervously.
"I don't know, I guess we'll find out. Are you good at throwing?"
"I'm pretty good at it, why do you ask?"
"You're going to throw the balloons at Mary when you see her slip something into David's drink. I'll take it from there."
"We'll get caught!"
"It'll be worth it. Don't you want David and Aliena to be happy?"
"Well yes but-" Ronald was cut off by a small kiss on his cheek. He quickly turned red and started giggling.
"Ronald will you do this favor for me?" Crystal asked, pouting.
"Of course I will." He smiled confidently and took a balloon into his hand, watching over the balcony intently.

Aliena took a seat next to David and glanced around, taking in the scenery. Balloons were everywhere, the DJ was playing non-stop hits, and everyone who was anyone was here.
"It looks like the dance really made a profit." David pointed out. Aliena nodded in agreement and glanced towards the entrance, waving towards Hannah and Kyle.
"Hey guys." Hannah said cheerfully as she took a seat next to Aliena.
"Hey, you were supposed to meet us here, what happened?" David asked and glanced over at Kyle, who had a weird expression on his face. Hannah blushed and twirled a piece of her hair.
"We got caught up with something that's all." She grinned and patted Kyle's knee. Aliena and David blinked in slight shock, but decided not to pry any further.
"Well if it isn't the peanut gallery." A high-pitched voice came from behind them.
Aliena rolled her eyes and looked over at Mary, "What do you want?"
"Oh nothing in particular." She grinned, looking over at David. "You look handsome tonight David."
"Um. Thanks Mary." David mumbled. Hannah patted Aliena on the arm softly before dragging Kyle to the dance floor. Mary took a seat next to David without hesitation and clung onto his arm.
"So David, would you like to dance?" She asked, running her finger up and down his arm. Aliena started to protest, but just let it be, she wasn't going to let Mary get to her.
"No Mary, I just want to spend time with Aliena." David replied, shoving Mary off of him gently.
Mary pouted and again clung to his arm, "But I'm sure Aliena won't mind. I bet she won't even notice."
Aliena narrowed her eyes at Mary and before she could respond she was tapped on the shoulder. She looked up and smiled lightly, "Hey Kevin."
"Hey," He replied, glancing over at Mary and David. "You two make a nice couple."
"So do you two." Mary giggled lightly and snuggled up against David.
"We're just friends Mary." Aliena said sternly, glancing over at David who was glaring at Kevin.
"Oh yes, the boy-next-door type of thing right? Well I always get what I want." She grinned and kissed David on the cheek. Aliena looked at her with slight surprise then shook her head and stood, walking out.
"Mary!" David growled, trying to pry his arm away from the blonde who was clinging onto him harder.
"I guess I'll go see if she's alright. Since you're occupied." Kevin smirked at the two and stood, following out after Aliena.
"David do you really think you'll make things all better? She needs a friend right now not a boyfriend." Mary protested, slipping into his lap. David rolled his eyes at her, a signal that he gives up.
"Fine Mary. What exactly do you want?"
"Just a little alone time," she smirked and grabbed two cups of punch, handing him one, "You still owe me that little talk."
~*~
"Aliena!" Kevin called out as he reached the hallways; he sighed lightly and walked over towards the entrance where he saw a weeping Aliena, "Aliena?" "Kevin?" She sniffed and wiped her eyes, looking up at him. "It is you. I must look like such a baby."
"Nah, you look beautiful," He said and smiled, sitting beside her. "So are you going to let Mary win?"
"She's going to win anyway."
"Not if you fight her."
"I have, she's still one step ahead of me."
"The Aliena I know never gives up. Maybe that what makes you and David so compatible, you guys are both persistent." Kevin glanced over at his friend and realized her face lit up at his statement, he realized that he couldn't go through with the plan, he just said the one thing that made her smile, which was all he wanted, even if it wasn't him he was smiling with.
"You're right Kevin, I shouldn't give up. I realize I haven't really been a great friend to you, and I'm sorry for that."
Kevin frowned lightly then hugged her to him, "You were never a bad friend to me Aliena, and it really should be the other way around."
Aliena blinked and pulled back to look at him, "What are you talking about?"
Kevin took a deep breath, starting to explain what he was up to in the past 2 days.
~*~
"Mary what talk are you talking about?" David grunted, pushing the girl off of his lap.
"The talk where you dump Aliena and you and I get together." Mary growled and plopped into a seat next to him.
"Mary if you haven't noticed, I DON'T LIKE YOU!" He yelled. Mary glanced around, and noticed the stares they were getting. She sighed and gently took the cup of juice away from him.
"David what are you talking about? Why do you keep denying the truth?" She whispered fiercely. David rolled his eyes and turned around, looking around for Aliena and Kevin. Mary grinned and quickly took out the vial, slipping the liquid into his cup.
"Fine David. I understand." She said and sat back, hiding the vial in her fist. David blinked and glanced at her.
"You do?"
"Of course I do. Now with all that yelling you must be thirsty." She offered a fake smile and pushed his cup closer towards him.
"Um, yeah I suppose I am." He glanced at her then picked up the cup, twirling it around in his hand slightly.
"Crystal! She slipped something into David's drink and he's about to drink it!" Ronald whispered, shaking his companion who hadn't woken up like he had at the sudden outburst from David.
"Hmm? W-what?"
"David is about to be poisoned!"
"Okay you hook up everything and while I stop David from being poisoned by the evil Mary!" Crystal quickly dashed down the steps while Ronald tried to remember what to do with the supplies.

". . . And that's what Mary has been planning and I only went along with it because I was jealous. But you're my best friend Aliena and I just want you to be happy." Kevin finally finished, looking toward the ground.
Aliena frowned and gave Kevin a long hard look, "What you did was wrong Kevin."
"I know, that's why I'm telling you now."
"I'm grateful for that, you really are a great friend."
"I don't think you have to worry about Mary though."
"Why is that?"
"I believe you're little sister has something planned for her."
"My little sister?"
"Yeah, she was snooping around the gym earlier. Before I came to your table, I caught her and a little friend taking a nap on the balcony."
"I suppose we should go watch the show."
"Yes, I heard it was worth it." Kevin chuckled and helped Aliena up, walking her back into the gym.
~*~
"David! Don't drink it!" Crystal panted, knocking the juice out of his hand. David blinked as the juice flew from his hand and onto Mary's blue dress.
She squealed and jumped up, "You little brat!"
"Well you're a mean lady!" Crystal stuck her tongue out then grinned. "Let her have it Ronald!"
"Eh?" Was Mary's only sound as balloons of Kool-Aid and a large package of flour and feathers bombarded her. When the feathers cleared, Mary was a sight to behold. Her hair was a mixture of red and blonde, mostly red, and soggy flour goop dripped from every inch of her. She looked like a bunch of experiments that had gone terribly wrong. Ronald slowly stepped up beside Crystal and started to clap at his masterpiece. Soon the room was filled with claps and laughs.
"You've been planning this, haven't you kid?" David chuckled as the socializing went back to normal, and smiled down at Crystal, who smiled and slung her arm around Ronald.
"I planned it, but Ronald carried it out."
"Well you did a good job." Aliena voiced, smirking as Mary shoved past her and ran out.
"Thanks." Ronald said shyly.
Crystal glared as Kevin stepped beside her and stomped on his foot, "You're evil too! You were going along with Mary!"
Kevin winced with pain and nodded at Crystal, "Yeah I was for awhile."
"Crystal, he told me what happened. He's a good friend." Aliena smiled and hugged him.
Kevin hugged her back then held his hand out to David, "Truce?"
David looked at him for a moment, shook his hand, "Truce."
"Well it's been fun guys, but I came here to dance. See you guys next year." Kevin took a short bow then disappeared into the dancing crowd.
David smiled and pulled Aliena to him, "Still up for that movie?"
Aliena smiled and nodded slowly, "Of course."
David smiled and softly kissed Aliena, a soft kiss to let her know this was only the beginning, a soft kiss to let her know he didn't want it to end, a soft kiss to remind her of their story.
The story of Aliena and David.
