At night, when the stars hang in the sky
And the dew lays fresh upon the grass
At night when the world is asleep
I walk the night, alive

I stroll along within my mind
Recalling things from the distant past
Friends I've known, and Loves I've lost
Moments that will forever last

The ocean pulses on the shore
The waves crash in, one by one,
Silvery, and beautiful
They crash upon my soul

In the distance, as I stand
Upon a mountain side now gone
I see the ever-twinkling lights
Of Cities and I yearn

To return through all of time and space
To when I was but a child
To look at all those wondrous things
As for the very first time
