I lie on the grass
Cold as ice
Blood is dripping from my pale face
I hear an ambulance in the distance
I look at myself
And I see noting
Just a body sprawled on the grass
A man rushes toward me
He puts his ear to my heart
But hears nothing
Puts his fingers to my wrist and then my neck
But feels noting
Looks for my puffs of warm breath in the cold wet air
But sees nothing
"She's gone" he says in a whisper and falls hard to his knees
And as I lie here in my coffin
Ready to be put into the earth
I think of the life I lived
And realize, I had so many things left to do
So many people to see
But it's all over now and I can't change it back
. Maybe they'll remember me
Cold as ice
Blood is dripping from my pale face
I hear an ambulance in the distance
I look at myself
And I see noting
Just a body sprawled on the grass
A man rushes toward me
He puts his ear to my heart
But hears nothing
Puts his fingers to my wrist and then my neck
But feels noting
Looks for my puffs of warm breath in the cold wet air
But sees nothing
"She's gone" he says in a whisper and falls hard to his knees
And as I lie here in my coffin
