"What are you doing?"
You ask with a sigh
In reply, I say
"Building a dream out fairy tales and lies"
"But you shouldn't,
You shouldn't do that"
I do so anyway,
And cry when it doesn't work
You take me in your arms
And say
"I did warn you, my youngest"
I answer
"I know,
But I had to find out
On my own"
You feel like crying
You wish I'd believe you
When you say, "It just won't work"
However, I don't care that you warn me
I want to find out the hard way
I want to see
If it'll be right
For me
