Dressed in black, contrasts her white skin
Her tragic life has brought her to hate
Low is her pride, from all the chagrin
No longer believes in happiness and fate.
Alone in life, alone in her room
Watching blood seep from her wrist
Thinking of life, or rather her doom
Hoping that afterlife doesn't exist
Tears fall thick and relatively steady
Holding tightly a bottle of strong yellow pills
Asking herself, "when will I die, already?"
She swallows them down, and then gets the chills.
Screaming out loud from the pain in her head
Watching her life fade right before her eyes
Suddenly feelings as though she's really dead
Death, the much long awaited, huge final prize
And as they drip, she tastes her salty tears
Reminiscing times when she was happy and young
As she wipes her eyes, her mascara smears
And suddenly, the taste of vomit is on her tongue
By now, the blood on her wrists is almost dry
Looking around, she cannot see clear
She's ready and preparing to finally die
The damage is done, the damage severe.
Suddenly, she finds the strength in her heart
To regorge her terrible mistake
And for that moment, she was very smart
Realizing it was the best choice shed ever make.
It's late in the night now, maybe early in the morn
A pool of sweat collected in her palm
Staring at her wrists, opened and torn
Finally now, her heartbeat starts to calm
Her head still numb, her vision still unclear
Awaiting rst and to finally sleep
Ready and waiting to face her fears
She promises herself she'll no longer weep.
