Death by Night--- By Ashley Brown
Silently stalking
She slides through shadows.
Her eyes black as night,
Yet red as blood.
She's cold to the touch,
Yet none could tell
For mortal ears to hear.
A shapeshifter- Perhaps.
She morphs to fit the imagination,
Of young and old alike.
Sometimes she's elegant,
And other times she's gruesome.
Young and beautiful
Old and wrinkled.
Beautiful and evil...
And somehow innocent.
She picks her victim carefully
Giving them the quickest, softest kiss.
And then they fade away...
For this woman's name is
Death.
