Warning: This is a story that has gay, yaoi, slash, or whatever you want to call it inside it. This means that there are two guys in here that like each other. If you don't like, don't read. I won't give much more warning beyond that. If you don't mind, then keep on reading.
"The judgement will now begin."
The boy's words were so clear dispite the at least ten meter distance and he hadn't even raised his voice. The boy then raised his right hand and snapped his fingers. There was a huge rushing sound, like all the air was coming inbetween the seven boys and Kyo and Shiken. Suddenly, there was a loud boom. Kyo shielded Shiken again only to find that Shiken wasn't there. As a matter of fact, it didn't look like they were in the park anymore. Kyo and Shiken were sitting on seperate sides of a giant court room. Both were at a desk facing their own judge stand that was wide enough for seven people to sit comfortably. In front of Shiken, the seven boys sat. One stood up and began to speak. He had very light brown hair that seemed to float in the light breeze that passed through the court area. His eyes were an shade of light grey and he was dressed in mostly white.
"The judgement of Shiken Shinri Shinriyue, son of Kenri Shinri and Shiyue Shinriyue, clan demon slayer of the Shinriyue clan, and Kyo Hitotama, son of Ryotsu Hitotama and Megido Coito, head of the Hitotama demon clan will now begin. Residing, the Seven Spirits. I, Jokoyo, Guardian of Wind."
Before Jokoyo continued, the person next to him stood up. This one had dark brown hair and dark jade green eyes. He was dressed in many shades of green and brown.
"Rokukai, Guardian of Earth."
Rokukai sat down as soon as Jokoyo finished with his name and stuff. Then the next stood up. This boy had dark crimson hair, darker than Kyo's. His eyes were a light shade of red. He wore mostly red.
"Reidenko, Guardian of Fire."
Reidenko sat down after his introduction making the next one stand. He had slightly lighter than navy blue hair. His eyes themselves were just blue. If you've caught the patern, you know that he wore all different shades of blue.
"Auriken, Guardian of Water."
Auriken sat and another one rose. Instead of the stern looks all the othes had, this one had a mostly happy face on. His hair was light blond and his eyes were a dark shade of yellow. He was dressed in white and yellow stuff.
"Ryouji, Guaridan of Light."
Ryouji smiled and waved before sitting down. The next one to stand was the one that brought then all to the strange court house room. His hair was black with many silver highlights streaked through it. He even had a long black braid at the base of his neck. His eyes were a dark brown and he wore silver and dark blue clothing.
"Yueshin, Guardian of Moon and Star."
Yueshin promtly sat down and the last one stood. This one looked exactly like Yueshin had his hair not been shorter and in place of the silver, there was gold in his hair. He wore red and gold clothing.
"Rishin, Guardian of Sun and Star."
As Rishin and Jokoyo took their seats, Shiken shook a little out of nervousness. He was being put to judgement by the Seven Sacred Spirits that had picked his family! Honestly, Shiken had expected them to look a bit older than fourteen and not as fair as they were, but as he looked at them, he looked to Kyo's side. There was nobody.
"Wait! If you're judging me, who's judging Kyo?" asked Shiken.
In responce, the seven boys stood up. "To place judgement on Kyo Hitotama, The Seven Dark Spirits will preside." said Jokoyo.
"Where are they?" asked Shiken.
"They are our shadows."
All of a sudden, there was a huge light infront of the seven boys. None flinched. They each cast a dark shadow. These shadows popped up from being flat to three dimensional. Before Shiken and Kyo could get a better look, they shimmered away and reappeared facing Kyo. Each looked like a greyed over version of their light counter part. When the dark versions sat down, so did the light.
"The judgement trials will now begin." said both light and dark Jokoyo.
Suddenly, a giant wall split the court room in half. Shiken and Kyo could not see each other and it was likely that they would not be able to hear each other.
"I... I don't know." said Shiken softly.
"Liar." muttered Rishin.
"Shut it Rishin. This is no time for your comments." retorted Yueshin. "Shiken, please understand, you are facing judgement on these counts:
1) Not obeying sacred orders.
2) You have fallen in love with a demon.
3) You have had sexual intercourse with said demon.
4) The demon you have fallen in love with is a Hitotama.
Now tell us your reasons for such a thing."
"You forgot to add fell in love with a boy." said Shiken sarcasticly, not minding that any one of the seven could kill him with a thought for his tounge.
"In all honesty, we don't care that it's a boy!" giggled out Ryouji. Shiken could tell that Ryouji was very innocent and childish, but as he stared more at Ryouji, he noticed that he was not all what he seemed. Deep under the innocence and childishness, there was wisdom, power, and much more.
Auriken sighed. "Could you be serious for once, Ryouji? As a matter of fact Ryouji is correct. We do not press charges on homosexuality durring judgement. We believe that it is perfectly fine."
"Then what do you have against me being with Kyo?" said Shiken as he glared at all seven.
Rishin glared back. "Simply the fact that "Kyo" is a demon is all that we're mad at. This has caused you to defy everything we have set upon your family to do! Do you know how long this responsiblity has been in your family? Millions of years! If I had known that you humans would be like this, I would have never helped create you." leered out Rishin.
"Oh shut up Rishin. You know as well as I do that humans were one of the best things we've ever created next to Japanese pop music and the martial arts." said Rokukai with bordem in his voice as he looked at the ceiling.
"Okay okay! Back on subject please! Now Shiken, just tell us why you fell in love with a demon." said Yueshin.
"I... I can't say cause I don't know myself. It's just that deep down inside, I feel like I belong with Kyo." said Shiken.
"You belong with another human and Kyo is supposed to be dead." declared Jokoyo.
"You do realize, Shiken, that the penalty is death for the crimes that you have commited. It's best that you explain yourself. If you do well enough, maybe we'll go easy on you." said Reidenko.
"I don't want your mercy. I want your blessing." muttered out Shiken.
"Excuse me! No way am I going to bless this mess." glared Rishin as he started to stand up.
Yueshin put a restraining hand on Rishin's shoulder. "Tell us Shiken, why do you think you deserve a blessing instead of a death penalty?" His tone was soft and calm, but it was stern and demanding at the same time.
"Look, I'm sorry this is sooo disapointing, but I don't care. I love Kyo. Plain and simple. I can't really imagine life without him anymore. When I'm with him, it feels like I'm complete, like I'm whole. I've never felt that way fully before. When my parents were around, the part of me that feels complete was only half way full. I realize now that I need Kyo and that I'm willing to die for our love. All in all, love is blind. That's why it brought us two together. If you don't care that we're boy and boy, then why should it matter if it's demon and demon slayer? So I'll say it again, go ahead! Kill me! I will still love Kyo till time ends and my soul is destroyed!" declared Shiken as he took a dramatic pose and the scene behind him turned into one of a wave crashing onto rocks behind him.
"I hope you know," said Rishin, "That that can be aranged very easily."
Shiken eeped. They were right.
"Even so, when we kill you, you will go to heaven for the good things you have done. Kyo will go to hell. What will you do then?" asked Auriken while tapping his finger tips against each other with his palms together.
"It doesn't matter! Kyo and I will find a way to be together forever! In life and death!" declared Shiken.
The spirits looked amongst each other and a few whispers were passed between each other. Shiken strained to hear then but then realized that they had most likely put up something so that he couldn't hear. After a minute, Jokoyo stood.
"We will now debate over the judgement." he said. All the spirits went off to the side and decended down a set of stairs and then went into a door.
Kyo slightly glared at then with his reddish purple eyes. "So? I don't care." said Kyo with his off hand "I don't give a damn" voice.
"You do realize, that you must die." said Dark Ryouji.
"I know."
"Then explain yourself. Why did you risk your life to fall in love with a demon slayer?" said Dark Yueshin.
"And make it good. Maybe we won't kill you as fast if the excuse is good enough." said Dark Reidenko.
"Or maybe we'll kill you anyway." muttered Dark Auriken.
"I can't exactly explain it, but it's like Shiken and I were ment to be together. When we're together, every thing just feels right. It's like when I have him in my arms, nothing can go wrong and nothing can tear us apart. It's just so perfect. I can't help but love every part of him and everything about him. His smile, his eyes, his face, everything. And if anyone dares to pull us apart, I will die trying to keep us together first before they do anything!" yelled Kyo. "That includes if I have to fight all of you and die in the process."
"I hope you know, that we can kill you right here and now if you don't learn to watch what you say." stated Dark Jokoyo with a glance that said he could care less about Kyo trying to attack him.
"Brat." muttered Kyo under his breath.
"Hey! I heard that! You wanna die!?" yelled Dark Jokoyo.
"Down boy!" Kyo found a pencil in his desk and chucked it at Dark Jokoyo's forehead. It hit him with a "poik!" and made him fall back from his leaning over.
"Grrr...." growled Dark Jokoyo while Kyo just stuck out his tounge at him.
"Listen Kyo, we are going to kill you eventually. When you die, you are going to hell. The one you love is going to heaven. What will you do? You'll be seperated forever." said Dark Rokukai.
"No! I will not go to hell! Because of Shiken, my soul or what's left of it has been cleared! His love redeems me!" shouted Kyo. "I will be with him forever! The law built into universe says so! You can't seperate us! We'll always find a way to be together and have our love!"
All the dark spirits seemed taken aback at Kyo's outburst. After a moment of silence, the dark spirits started wispering just like their light counter parts. After another minute, they all stood up.
"We will now debate over the proper judgement." said Dark Jokoyo before they all went down the stairs and into a door. As they did, the giant wall that cut the court room in half vanished. Kyo jumped over his desk and ran over to a stunned Shiken.
Kyo pulled him close and on to his lap as he sat down on another chair. Shiken rested his head in the crook of Kyo's neck with his eyes closed. "I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, at least this proves that if we stood up for what we believe in, our love is true and pure." said Kyo as he rocked back and forth slowly.
"Mmmmm... But what happens now?" asked Shiken. "What do we do?"
"We can't do anything right now. Just relax and calm down." said Kyo softly.
Shiken's body relaxed and Kyo just held him close while giving a few light kisses and wispering soothing words to keep Shiken calm in his ear. An hour passed and Shiken had fallen asleep in Kyo's arms. Kyo just kept rocking him back and forth in his lap gently while keeping his possesive hold on him. All of a sudden, the court room warped into a single room with the judge stand and the desk that Kyo and Shiken were at.
"Shiken, wake up." whispered Kyo in Shiken's ear. Shiken stirred slightly before staying asleep. "Come on Shiken, wake up. I think they're done deciding."
At that, Shiken awoke, sat up, and rubbed his eyes. "Mmmmm... How long has it been?" murmured Shiken sleepily. Kyo continued to hold him close.
"One hour since you fell asleep and they went in." said Kyo. "But I figure that they must be done since the court room isn't in two any more."
Shiken stood and Kyo stood with him, still keeping him close. He'd be damned before he let go of Shiken and let anything happen. The desk and chairs disappeared. Soon after, the seven spirits came out. The dark spirits were gone.
"Judgement has been passed." said Jokoyo clearly. Kyo tightened his hold on Shiken. "The spirits have decided." Shiken tried to remain calm. "That you shall not be killed."
Kyo and Shiken breathed a sigh of relief before realizing what happened.
"We're not going to die?" asked Kyo.
"No. It's very rare that a love as pure and as strong as yours is found. Since it's so rare, we can't bare to destroy such a thing. You two will live." said Yueshin.
"And have our blessing." muttered Rishin as he stared off to the side.
"Also, we have a few declarations for you." said Raidenko.
"OOOOOO! Can I say and do them?! Can I? Can I? Can I?" asked Ryouji happily.
Yueshin sighed. "Yes Ryouji. You can tell them and do them."
"YAY!" cheered Ryouji which confused both Kyo and Shiken. "First off, the conflict between the Shinriyue clan and Hitotama clan is now disolved. There is no need to fight. Second, the Hitotama's are no longer demons. They will all be purged now." Ryouji extended one of his hands and snapped. Kyo started floating. A bright light came out from under him. It surrounded him and consumed him.
"Kyo!" shouted Shiken in worry.
Shiken then saw a dark shadow disipatate in the light. When it faded, Kyo floated back down. Shiken latched on to him tightly in fear.
"It's okay Shiken. I'm fine. They just got rid of all the demon stuff." soothed Kyo.
"The same has just happened to Raijin Hitotama." said Ryouji. "Also, the Shinriyue clan demon slayer has the option of retiring from demon slaying as soon as they reach thirties!"
"So, I ony have to demon slay for a tweleve more years?" asked Shiken.
"Yup! And we have a gift for you!" shouted Ryouji before snapping his fingers again.
A bright light erupted from the base of the judge stand. Shiken and Kyo shielded their eyes. The light dimmed down for them to be able to see. The light widened into a doorway. In it, two dots appeared. Shiken stared in intrest at them. The closer they got, the bigger they got. Soon, they turned into humanoid shapes. Shiken imedately recognised them as they got closer.
"Oh my god... It can't be... Shiyue-den! Kenri-den!" shouted Shiken as he ran and fell into Shiyue's arms. "You don't know how much I've missed you."
"We've been watching over you." said Kenri as he leaned against Shiyue. "I must say, I was intrested in how all this would come out."
"You mean, you're not mad at me?"
Shiyue made Shiken look at him. "Shiken, I could never hate you for following your heart. I only wanted you to be happy and if Kyo makes you happy, then by all means, love him."
Shiken's eyes shined with tears. "Thank you daddy." he said as he cried into Shiken's chest.
Kenri looked up and saw Kyo. "Oh get over here already."
Kyo smiled and ran over. Shiken leaped on to him when he disengaged himself from Shiyue. Shiyue had tears in his eyes this time. "Ooooo I'm soooo happy! Shiken's all grown up now, and now I can be with him to help him further."
Shiken's eyes widened when he heard this. "You mean that..."
"We've been brought back to life." said Kenri simply. "It'll shock everyone, but they should be okay."
Shiken's eyes shined with tears again before he smiled and put his head against Kyo's chest. Kyo only continued his firm hold.
"Well, our work here is done. But we have one more thing to-" Yueshin was cut off by Ryouji.
"OOOOOO! Can I say it!" he asked with excitement.
"I was about to tell you to."
"WEEEEEEE!" shouted Ryouji before jumping down, grabbing Shiken and pulling him to the side. He then whispered something in his ear that made his eyes widen and then blush. He then stepped back a bit to be with the other spirits. "Good luck!" he shouted before taking off with all the others. Shiken walked back stunned to the rest of them.
"What is it? What did they say?" asked Kyo worriedly.
"Kyo, how do you feel about marrage and a family?" mumbled Shiken softly while ducking his head down.
Kyo looked confused. "Why do you ask? What does that have to do with what the spirits told you?"
Then Shiken looked up blushing. "I'm pregnant with your child."
Kyo promtly fainted onto the ground in the park that they found themselves being back at. Kenri looked at him.
"Yup, he's going to be a good dad."
Wow, that was fun! It didn't turn out as I had thought it in the first place, but I guess it's good enough. Just so you know, the next chapter will end it and then you will hear no more of Shiyue, Kenri, Kyo, and Shiken. Not that many of you care by now. Meh, but they were part of my first story and they will always be in my mind. Who knows? Maybe they'll have a cameo appearance in some new stories of mine. I haven't decided. But either way, I hope you've enjoyed this story as I have when I was writing it. Remember, it's not over yet! Come back for the last chapter next time! Now before that... Could you please review?
