*Chapter 1: Lovesick/Laurel*
Authors note: Okay, this is how I'm going to title each chapter. Every chapter is in the point of view of each character. This chapter for instance is in Laurel's point of view. Each character has an adjective. Sapphire/Suicide, Trent/Trustless, Isabella/Innocent, Ryan/Rebel, and Owen/Optimistic. Hopefully you enjoy this.
And another thing, thank you so much for reviewing! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Mom and dad didn't want me to go away for the summer at first. To be honest, I didn't either. My parents thought it would be good for me to meet new people and get over my ex boyfriend, Jason. They don't understand though. It's too late now.
I rode beside my mother on the way to the cottage. Suddenly my mom said, "That Jason is a nice boy."
I glared at her before saying, "I can't believe you said that! How can you say that?"
She smiled slightly before saying, "I was thinking about when you first brought him home." Translation: 'He was so nice when he brought me flowers.'
I couldn't believe my ears. Before I knew it I was yelling, "MOM! STOP IT! You say you want me to move on with my life but YOU wont let it go!"
Mom opened and closed her mouth once before muttering, "I'm sorry, dear."
You should be, I thought bitterly before glancing over to her. She looked completely embarrassed. I felt bad for her.
"Mom, listen to me. It hurts to think about Jason. It hurts to say his name. It really hurts, Ma."
She reached over and squeezed my hand, "I love you. And if you want to go back home that is fine with me."
I couldn't help but smile a huge smile before saying softly, "Thanks, Ma. I love you, too. But it isn't necessary to turn around. We probably are almost there."
Mom nodded and said, "If this is what you really want then that's fine."
"I really think I need to be away from the people I know. I need a new environment," I sighed loudly as though I just lifted something off my chest. The burden is still there though.
~~~~~~
I jumped out of the car as it still moved up the foreign drive way. I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked around my green surroundings.
"It's so green! It scares me!" I squealed excitedly. Its strange going from a city's environment to greenness.
I finally looked at the house and gasped. Before me stood a three story white house with a ladder leading from the ground to the flat roof. Surrounding the house were various flowers. My eyes didn't take long to find the lake behind the house. My exploring mode was soon 'shut off' by mom.
"Honey, you mind helping me with your things?" Translation: 'Laurel! Get your lazy ass over here and get your junk!'
I, changing the subject, exclaimed, "Look at how green it is! Isn't it weird, Ma?"
My mom looked annoyed as she grabbed two of my many suitcases out of the trunk. I grinned as I turned and noticed that someone else was here. My eyes didn't see a person but their motorcycle.
I began blushing for no reason and commanded my mom to drop my things. She sent me a quizzical look and I replied, "I can get it."
"Whatever you want, dear," Mom muttered as she dropped my suitcases before me.
"You don't need to come inside with me," I said quickly. She stopped what she was doing and said 'Oh.'
"It's just, I want to feel like I can do things on my own," I lied.
She smiled and said 'That's my girl' before pulling me into a big hug. She kissed me softly on the top of my head before saying, "I guess I should go."
"I love you, Ma," I said as she walked towards the drivers seat.
"Have a great summer, Laurel." Translation: 'Don't you do drugs, have sex or drink alcohol or I'll disown you in a heart beat.'
Before I knew it my mom was driving off and all there was to look at was the back of the familiar old car.
I turned back towards the house and was surprised to see a guy standing beside me. He had blonde hair that hung past his ears. His blue eyes seemed to be laughing at a joke I was unaware of. He wore a leather jacket that really made me want to call him 'The Fonz.'
"Who are you?" He asked as he looked me over.
"I'm Laurel. Who are you, Mr. Cool?" I couldn't help myself.
He raised his eyebrows like I was crazy. I don't blame him. After a moment he said, "I'm Ryan."
"Nice to meet you Fonzie," I smiled innocently.
He suddenly grinned, "Right back at you, Mary Poppins."
I shook my head than attempted and failed to carry all my bags. I looked at Ryan and said, "You mind helping me?"
"Yes, I do," He said before walking towards the house with his hands in his pockets.
"Ass hole!" I called after him as I grabbed as many of my bags as I could before heading towards the house.
