I saw you in a corner.
Standing over there,
Simply standing and watching,
In the world without a care.
Your eyes drifted from each person,
No one being was alike.
Then your eyes fell on me,
Shining in the dim light.
I wanted to look away,
And never see your eyes.
But something inside me told me,
That action would not be wise.
I brought my eyes to yours,
And prayed a hopeful plea.
Hoping that you would move,
And come over towards me.
Instead you stayed in your corner,
Just holding your intent stare.
Simply standing and watching,
In the world without a care
