Lack of sleep

I haven't slept in so long
Guess the shrink was wrong
Damn pills won't work
This consciousness lurks
Running on little sleep
The fact that I'm awake seeps
Into every fiber of my being
Why is sleep so fleeting?
All I have are nightmares
And it truly isn't fair!
Everyone around me sleeps
With their precious dreams they keep
They dream sweet dreams
Nothing of the mourning requiems
Nothing like the things I fear
Nothing that will bring a tear
Why must I choose
Between the sleep that I lose
And the dreams that are haunting
People always unknowingly flaunting
The fact that they sleep
While I lay down and weep
For that I hate them all
I hope they all fucking fall!
Let them suffer pain
Let's see what they gain
Behind my back they're calling me a bitch
Probably right, but they don't see me twitch
I'm just tired and cold
This routine is quite old
Please just let me rest
With my arms laid across my chest.
