Snow Montgomery
Snow and Jezebel had been rivals ever since second grade. They grew up hating each other, or rather Jezebel grew up hating Snow. That hatred grew even more when Snow's father and Jezebel's mother got married. They became step-sisters. As they grew, Jezebel seethed in hatred and jealousy towards Snow, the pride and joy of the family. Even worse they both had the same career dream - to become lawyers.
When they went away to college they happily separated. It wasn't until Snow was transferred to Jezebel's law firm that things began heating up again. They worked together for a few years before they both went after the Junior Partner position, that was when Jezebel's hatred boiled over.
"Oh Snow, you're so perfect, and beautiful, and such a great lawyer, I wish everyone at this firm could be just like you! I HATE HER!"
Jezebel was seething and ranting to herself in the empty bathroom. Plans of murder and vengeance danced through her mind. There would only be one Montgomery at Reinhart and Wolfe and it was going to be her!
"All my life Snow has gotten everything: the praise, the love, the pride, jobs, scholarships, and everything else SHE GETS! But not the partnership! I've been here for seven years she's not going to take this from me!"
Taking in a couple of deep breaths to calm herself, Jezebel smirked evilly as an idea suddenly came to her.
It was only the two of them running for the Junior Partnership, if Snow was somehow...fired, there wouldn't be any competition left.
Walking out of the bathroom, head held high, and looking slightly insane. Jezebel went straight to the elevator, she had decided to pay Charles Mirrors a visit. As one of the Senior Partners maybe he could help her.
She was smiling excitedly until the elevator doors swung open.
"Hey Jez!"
It was Snow. For some odd reason the girl always seemed to like having Jezebel around. She didn't understand why and it annoyed her to no end.
"Snow," said Jezebel, pushing past her step-sister and hitting the 'close' button furiously.
As the elevator doors slammed shut in her face, Snow sighed and went on her way. She couldn't remember doing anything to make Jezebel hate her this much.
Shaking out of her thoughts, Snow continued to her office. On her way she was almost knocked over by Dixie Thurman.
"What the...Dixie?"
"She just got fired."
Turning around Snow came face-to-face with Hunter Kingston. He was in charge of firing people for Mr. Mirrors.
"What'd she do?"
"Filed a sexual harassment complaint against Mirrors."
Meanwhile...
"Well?"
"You want me to fire your sister?"
"STEP-sister."
Jezebel was sitting on Mirrors' desk, with her legs crossed so her skirt rode up her thigh.
"I like your style," he grinned, "so you'd do anything?"
She leaned back on his desk and raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow. Mirrors quickly got on his intercom
"Dwara, get me Kingston."
10 minutes later...
"What do you mean you couldn't do it?"
"I couldn't do it."
"I tell you who to fire and you do it. It's not hard."
"You didn't give me a reason to let her go."
"I never give you reasons," said Mirrors," besides it's not like we asked you to cut out her heart or anything."
"We?"
"Me. I meant me."
Hunter narrowed his eyes and looked at Mirrors carefully. Something was up. Snow was a great lawyer, you don't just fire someone like her. Mirrors wouldn't...then he saw it. There was lipstick on the collar of his shirt.
"You're fired."
"What?" Hunter snapped out of his thoughts.
"You're fired."
"For what?"
Oh gee, I wonder," said Mirrors rolling his eyes, "pack up your desk and get out."
As Hunter left Mirrors' office a bit dazed, Jezebel walked in.
"Why couldn't he do it?!" snapped Jezebel. She had been eavesdropping on their conversation somehow.
"I have no idea, before he would fire anyone that I told him to; what was my reason for firing Snow again?"
"What was your reason for firing Thurman?"
"Reputation."
"Uh, well Snow, she...uh, oh, Dammit I wish I could just kill her!"
"Ooh, I had a thought..."
**
"Oh Snowy!"
"Jez?"
Snow looked up from her files to see Jezebel standing in her doorway.
"What are you doing here?"
"Peace offering. I don't want to fight with you anymore." Jezebel had to swallow the bile that rose in her throat as she fought to get that sentence out, "Apple muffins your fave!"
Snow smiled and motioned for her to come in. Jezebel handed her a muffin.
"Thanks Jez, this means a lot to me."
"Uh huh," was all Jezebel could manage as her eye started to twitch.
"Look about the Junior Partnership..."
"Snow, we're both Montgomery's as long as one of us gets it, I'm happy."
"My thoughts exactly! Oh! I have something to show you!"
Snow took a big bite of her apple muffin before getting up and moving to a cabinet behind Jezebel.
Perfect Timing.
Slowly and silently, Jezebel got up and made her way over to Snow. When she was directly behind her, she roughly poked her in the sides. This action caused Snow to gasp and inhale the piece of muffin in her mouth. She started coughing violently trying to dislodge the stuck baked good.
"Oh, no, you're choking," said Jezebel as she watched Snow sink to the ground and then finally to her death.
Smiling at her victory, Jezebel headed up to Mirrors' office to share the good news.
**
"Stupid Mirrors, bastard fires me , no good reason...," Hunter muttered to himself as he walked down the hall. He had finally packed all his things and was heading home. He had decided to stop by Snow's office to say good-bye before he left. She was a sweet girl.
"Hey Snow," he gingerly knocked on her door. The small action caused it to creak open.
"Holy Shit," he gasped, dropping his things he ran and knelt down at Snow's side.
She was unconscious and not breathing, Hunter reached into his jacket and got his cell phone, after placing a call to 911, he started CPR. Minutes later Snow was coughing up the apple and gasping for oxygen. Help would be arriving shortly.
**
"DAMMIT!" screeched Jezebel. She and Mirrors were watching the events unfold on the security monitor, "it's not fair, she should be dead!"
Mirrors watching Jezebel sink to the ground, moaning in despair. Snow had heard her and watched her stand by and do nothing, she knew it wasn't an accident.
"So," said Mirrors, "how do you feel about Mexico?"
