The first time I laid eyes on you,
it took all my strength to look away.
Feelings that came to me in slew,
but I forced them into cache.
Splendoured,
peached,
rendered,
preached.
The first time that I heard you speak,
I was startled by the angelic tone.
It carried me to Afton's peak,
I felt as if I'd leapt and flown.
Tickled,
lifted,
fickled,
swifted.
The first time your scent breezed by,
you took me on a treasure hunt.
You made me sit and wonder why
and how you could be so vibrant.
Relished,
heart-pumping,
embellished,
thumping.
The first time that I felt your touch,
that gorgeous night I held you hand.
By then it was all too much,
it was more than my poor heart could stand.
Melted
marrow.
Pelted;
arrow.
But the first time that I felt your kiss,
that luscious moment lasts forever.
Caught in a typhoon of bliss,
with that kiss we have endeavored.
Destination:
unknown;
captivation:
cyclone.
And so we set forth,
young and frail.
Let time run its course;
that kiss shall prevail.
