I could waste my life
Calculating how tall I'll grow
I could learn about the rivers and lakes
And mountains in Mexico
I could recite Shakespeare
And learn the poems of Yeats
I could study for my history exam
And remember all the dates
Or I could daydream about flying
Singing or rock climbing
I could be stuck in my room
Or flying to Pakistan to climb K2
I could do my maths but it bores me
Most things do

Reality sucks
But there's a simple truth
Amongst the sorrow
Don't do today
What you can do tomorrow
Don't do today
What you can do tomorrow
Cuz that way if you die in the night
You won't have to do it at all
Yes, I'm a procrastinator
I'll do it tomorrow
I'll do it later

I could spend my time
Reading classics by Dickens
I could remember the dietary requirements
Of two week old chickens
I could learn how to cook
And how to sew straight
I could quote statistics about gun control
While learning how to hate
Or I could imagine I was freedom fighter
An eagle or a famous writer
I could be sitting in a classroom
Or boarding down a hill
I could try to stay awake
But life's a sleeping pill

Reality sucks
But there's a simple truth
Amongst the sorrow
Don't do today
What you can do tomorrow
Don't do today
What you can do tomorrow
Cuz that way if you die in the night
You won't have to do it at all
Yes, I'm a procrastinator
I'll do it tomorrow
I'll do it later
I prefer my fantasy world
I'm a procrastinator
I'll wake up tomorrow
I'll do it later
