Enough of war, enough of hate,

Enough of sorrow, enough of pain,

Love is fairer than children without fate,

Light is fairer than the weapon bane.

Who brought darkness to our world?

Who brought sorrow to our thought?

For what have we so long fought?

For who have we so long cried?

There is no excuse for killing,

There is no pardon for those who slaughtered,

People who did no evil and asked for nothing,

But to live in peace in the lands they cherished and watered.

War is useless, nothing has it ever brought,

That could replace the blood of the people who fought,

To regain freedom it can help but it always comes at a terrible price,

For it is always those you love the most that will leave without thinking
twice.
