I was trying to run away from these emotions. I could still feel his lips on mine. I stopped at least a mile away and broke down on the road sobbing. This wasn't fair! my mind screamed at the world. Every time I find him life forces us away. This isn't right. I cried for him and what I really felt. I got up feeling shaky. Suddenly every thing that he said before I left really hit me.

(If you go right now you'll never see or hear from me again.

I'll leave here forever.)

He wasn't going to leave town... I turned around and noticed the sun would be up soon. With a gasp I began to run back. I was already out of breath but my fear urged me on. I finally got there as the sun began to peak out from behind the trees. David was standing there watching it looking frightened but determined. I ran up to him and punched him as hard as I could. He looked shocked. "You idiot!" I rasped.

"What are you-" he started.

"Get in that car and we'll talk," I said still out of breath. He looked at me for a second then nodded. We walked back to the car. Once we were both safe in the car I hit him again. "What were you thinking?!"

"Jenna you don't understand," he started then shook his head.

"Then explain it to me."

"I can't-" he stopped.

"What do you mean you can't?" I thought that he wasn't going to tell me.

"I can't live without you."

"So you were going to kill yourself?" I demanded nearly crying. "You were just going to end it like that?"

"It would have been the best."

"I really disagree." I crossed my arms over my chest. "Yes I care about Joel but he'll never really love me."

"But you love him. I want you to be happy."

"I love *you*, you moron!" I yelled. I was as surprised by this realization as he was. I loved him. In spite of everything I loved him. He was arrogant, and cruel at times but I would die for him without a second thought.

"Jenna-" he started then stopped for once at a loss for words. I just sat there stunned. He looked at me finally. "Did you mean that?"

"Yes," I said softly. "I would die inside if I lost you." I laughed shortly. "I guess this was your plan."

"No," he said honestly. "My plan was to bring you here make you fall for me then turn you. I never planned on trying to kill myself or loving you as much as I do. I cared for you but not this much." We stared at each other for a minute. This was new for us, to be able to look at each other without challenge or any anger. "Maybe I should go."

I was shocked. "What?"

"Well you're human."

"I plan to stay that way." I crossed my arms again. "But I'm not letting you out of my life. Remember what you said."

He looked at me and nodded remembering what he had told me about not feeding on humans if I honestly said that I loved him. "Yes," he said. "And I always keep my promises. But I want you to consider what you want very carefully."

"I want you," I said softly looking into his eyes. I ran a hand gently through his hair. "Here," I continued, "with me." I grinned. "You're not getting rid of me."

He smiled. "I wouldn't want to." He reached out to gently touch my face. "You could change your mind."

"And you could change yours," I said with a slight shrug. "It'll be interesting to explain this to everyone, but I want you here. I want you with me."

He grinned. "In that case-" he started and leaned forward capturing my lips with his own.
