One Last Moment
By: SocratesAngel

I think this is it; this is the end,
But I'm holding on for one last breath;
One more moment, to think of your pretty face.
Every beat of my heart is a miracle,
And I hope this miracle will be eternal.

I don't know where you end and I begin,
I held on to you for as long as I could,
But I'm sinking fast,
And you'd better catch up.

The blood in my veins is becoming idle, I'm sure.
I always thought that death would hurt;
I guess thought right.
Or maybe it's not the death;
Maybe it's the idea of being without you for so long.

I pray for this last moment to never cease,
Though I know it will,
It has to;
Pain cannot last forever.

I think this is it; this is the end,
But I'm holding on for one last breath;
One more moment, to think of your pretty face.
Every beat of my heart is a miracle,
And I hope this miracle will be eternal.

Your stern eyes have burned a gap through my mind,
And it grows stronger every second that passes.
You're all I can think about.

This silence is calling,
It's death to my heart.
I don't think I can live (or die) without you,
I know it won't last,
The time without you will pass,
But, every moment counts,
And by now we're at a million.

My blood is draining,
As is my soul.
I'm beginning to feel less and less,
The pain isn't as intense;
And my memories of you are fading to a close

I think this is it; this is the end,
But I'm holding on for one last breath;
one more moment, to think of your pretty face.
Every beat of my heart is a miracle,
And I hope this miracle will be eternal.
