Title: Hold On
Author: Heather P.
The feathers on my wings subside,
While the night weeps,
And the waters of eternity gently move into flight,
Dismissing all the things I used to keep so tightly against me.
I am left to sigh.
I can feel my heart beat,
As I see the stars shine,
And in moonlight I sleep,
Waiting for dreams that will only be mine.
My arms stretch out for you,
For my fingers to wipe away your tears,
'Don't let the rain in' you say,
And I whisper, 'Not for all the years.'
Hold on to that sunset we shared,
Until you see the light of dawn,
And I will be there,
Even when the moon and stars are gone.
