I know I said one more chapter then THE END but I don't think I can think of two more chapters and I'm already having a hard time with this one chapter and making it at least two pages so please excuse my earlier comment, this will be the last chapter. I repeat, THIS WILL BE THE LAST CHAPTER!
Lunar: no more after this
*nods in agreement then backs away* TO THE BRAIN YOU TWO WILL GO! BWAHAHA!
Rayne: god save us…
I sighed, looking around my new dorm. I wonder what my roommate will be like, I hope she's nice. I hope she likes the left side of the room too because I'm taking the right side. I sighed once more as I sat down on the matrices that my uncle and I had dragged up, he said you don't use the dorm ones so he just took those out of the dumpster. I chewed my gum annoyingly loud as I looked around nervously. I had done it, I had graduated from high school along with all my friends and we had separated in different directions. Its been way to hectic too even try to call them and I knew they would all be trying to move out of the house too so I just stuck to emails.
"Hey roomy." I turned to see a brightly smiling girl as I smiled back at her. She seemed nice enough. She had black hair with beach blonde tips and bright blue eyes that surveyed the room.
"Need some help?" I asked, walking over to her to help her with the boxes then saw the guy behind her. The girl smiled at me and then at the guy.
"Oh by the way my name is Mya and the big lug head is my boyfriend, also known as DJ." Mya said with another bright smile as DJ frowned and shook his head at his girlfriend.
"Ignore her until she takes her meds." He said, bringing two boxes of stuff to the left side of the room. Mya followed him with some other boxes and I sat back on my bed.
"Are you going here too DJ?" I asked, cocking my head to one side as DJ turned around, sadness in his big brown eyes as he looked at me and shook his head.
"No, I'm attending a school in Washington." DJ said as I understood the sadness in his eyes, my heart aching for my own boyfriend.
"You got a boyfriend…? I'm sorry, I don't know your name." Mya asked, looking a bit embarrassed. I laughed and smiled.
"Rayne." I said as Mya smiled back at me.
"I got to go honey, I'll call you when I reach Washington, ok?" DJ said, hugging Mya tightly and I looked away, not knowing what else to do. I would leave but I didn't want to seem rude but I wanted to give them some kind of privacy.
"I'm going to miss you." Mya said and I could hear that she was on the verge of tears. I laid back and looked up at the ceiling, remembering the good-bye that was shared between Lunar and I.
"I'll miss you too." I glanced over to see DJ kiss Mya on the forehead and then them lock lips. I glanced away, embarrassed for peaking at them. "Bye." I heard DJ whisper then saw him walk out. I sat up and looked at Mya as she smiled sadly at me.
"You good-bye to your boyfriend like that?" Mya asked, wiping away some tears.
"How did you…?" I shook my head and decided to answer her question. "Not really." I answered truthfully, sighing once again as I thought back to our good-bye.
"I got accepted!" I squealed, throwing my arms around Lunar as he stumbled a bit but wrapped his arms around me. "This is so great! I've always wanted to live in New York and here's my chance!" I said, breaking our embrace and jumping slightly. Then I saw the look on his face.
"New York?" He asked, confusion showing on his face.
"Well I didn't want to tell anyone because it wasn't a sure thing, I mean it's a really hard school to get into and I wasn't sure…" I blurted out. Was he mad at me?
"Oh… so your going?" He asked and now it was my turn to be confused. This wasn't the reaction I thought I would get. I thought he would be happy for me… or at least ACT happy for me.
"Of course… what's wrong Lunar?" I asked, frowning slightly.
"Nothing. You should go pack though, I've got things to do." With that he stormed off. I sighed, looking down at the piece of paper in my hands.
End of Flashback
"That bad, huh?" Mya asked as I looked into her blue eyes, smiling slightly. Bad? I wouldn't say that…
"No… not bad." I said, still smiling.
I felt my heart in my stomach and the tears stinging my eyes. I looked around once more at the airport. Some of my friends had shown up to say good-bye, my uncle was going to drive to New York and met me there with some of my bigger stuff. Yet something was missing… I knew what that something was. Lunar.
"Bye." I said with a wave, giving them all a big smile as they waved back. I stepped onto the escalator and leaned slightly on the railing.
"WAIT!" I turned around at the familiar voice and saw Lunar running up the escalator to stand beside me, panting slightly with a teddy bear in one hand holding a red rose. "I'm sorry Ray, I just… don't want you to go." I almost snickered. Nice time to tell me this. "Not that I'm going to stop you just… I don't want to lose you." I got off the escalator, him following and then through my arms around him.
"Your not going to lose me but pushing me away isn't going to help either." I whispered into his ear as I backed up. I smiled at him as I heard my call for my plane again. "I have to go." Lunar bent down and kissed me. His lips were soft and a little dry. Slowly his tongue slid into my mouth and tangled with mine. I heard the call for my plane again and slowly backed away.
"I love you." He said, kissing me quickly on the lips and handing me the bear.
"I love you too." I said while walking backwards. "I'll call you every other day and email you all the time and- oof, sorry." I said as I walked into someone. Lunar chuckled and gave me a little wave as I turned around and ran towards my plane.
End of Flashback
"Good kisser?" Mya asked as I grinned widely. Both of us were done unpacking and we had been telling each other about ourselves and I had told her about the goodbye kiss.
"Great kisser." I said as Mya laughed.
