"So What If I Find Solace in the Tears?"
So what if I find solace in the tears?
It's better than letting the sting remain.
If I reside in angst and relish in fears,
then who are you to pity my pain?
If depression helps my soul to soar,
taking it would cripple me.
And being crippled I would abhor
the misplaced, misjudged pity.
If in melancholy my soul takes flight
watch me rise to the stars.
Higher, higher--my endless plight--
where despair and misery are.
So what if I find solace in the tears?
It's better than letting the sting remain.
If I reside in angst and relish in fears,
then who are you to pity my pain?
If depression helps my soul to soar,
taking it would cripple me.
And being crippled I would abhor
the misplaced, misjudged pity.
If in melancholy my soul takes flight
watch me rise to the stars.
Higher, higher--my endless plight--
where despair and misery are.
