The changing rain trickles off my shoulder,
As the days get short and the nights get colder.
The leaves outside are touched with death,
Their autumn foliage has come to an end.
The swing set, bear but not for long,
The fun we had seems to have gone.
Winter is near, like the warmth in my shall,
Like the ponds that will freeze, and the snow that will fall.
Soon the streets will be covered, all over with white,
Like a blanket of snow, like a sheet of thick ice.
Another year has passed, like the passing of the wind,
Winter is here, to come chill us again.
