The Angels Fell
You are my angelic cherub
An ethereal entity,
Divine perfection at it's best,
Glowing with heavenly purity.
You inspire bliss.
You are a sublime, celestial being
With a beauty so majestic,
That the human eye is incapable of clearly seeing.
Even the most beautiful of angels,
Eventually fell from grace.
And now, I see a serpent
As I look into your face.
Your eyes tempt me with your lies.
Your teeth strike at my heel.
You are the devil in disguise.
You try to strike a devil's deal.
You played the part of clean disciple,
Yet your true depravity was clearly latent.
My angel turned into a demon,
Just as Lucifer turned to Satan.
