Seashore

My skin was stretched out and wild

aware that you were so near.

My hands were no longer apart of me,

and my face became

the open window

for you to jump out of.

The line

where I began away

from you

was thin

and impossible to trace

like a leathery patch of rainbows

hanging

bizarrely

from my curly hair.

The attack dog

like a blossoming flower

burst

and we were alone again

happily adrift along the seashore.
