What a mask we wear
That people cannot see
What is truly in us
Or what we think
Nor what we see or hear
Will ever be the same to
Another as is to us
Strange, that the people
Who are closest
Could not be farther
From the reality
We cling so lightly to
And if we were to fall
And be forever lost
In time and space
No one could save us
For we could never return
Because then
Our masks will have consumed us
