Black Clouds of Smoke
Consumed by the ever growing smoke
The clouds darken to almost blackness
Words are heard throughout this change
Yet hardly audible enough to distinguish
Reaching out for a touch, or help, or notice
The hand continually is retracted empty
Thicker still, the silence now overpowers
The denseness of air is continuously heavy
The spoken language is no longer of talk
Screaming can be heard, and shouting
Unable to see a way out, frozen by fear
There is no option but to endure it all
The pain of the words, the suffocation as well
Hearts are often ceased by the covering
Farewell is in order, yet cannot be heard
For the shouts are still dealt with
As well as the clouds of black
Receding into the utter darkness for finalization
Consumed by the ever growing smoke
