SAVING ME FROM ALONE
Lying here, wishing on the bright, night star,
I hear your voice, echoing in my mind.
I stop and think - how did it get this far?
Without a warning and without a sign,
Now I long for your touch, your face, your smile,
When yesterday you meant nothing to me,
But there we were, more than friends for a while,
That night I changed - that night I could see.
And so I think that I've fallen too fast,
I've travelled a long way and now I'm lost -
Lost in this fear, wondering if it'll last,
Trying to give, regardless of cost.
I may not return - may not make it home,
But there you are, saving me from alone.
