I am scared today
The sun rose and
I wasn't expecting it to.
A bird flew into my window repeatedly
And all I cold do was laugh
At its stupidity.
And everything that crossed my mind
I shunned away
In rosy hearts
In favor of the rain.
A shooting star crossed my path
I dismissed it with a glance
To the sidewalk.
A small child reached for my hand
And all I can do is scowl.
For bedtime wishes and Barbie dolls
Have no spot in me.
