Playground Cheers

The clouds spin above me
I'm smiling and laughing
I reach up to touch
The gorgeous sun
Hoping to get caught
In its embrace

..round..

...round...

Round I turn

I head for the swings
They chant and sing
I'm lifted closer
Towards my dreams
Just a little
Out of reach
But not too far

..forward..

...back...

Repeat this again

The slide is next
I climb the ladder with excitement
Reliving the childhood
Memories so dear
I grip the slippery surface
Embraced for the ride

..Down..

...Down...

Down the slide

The see-saw is happy
Welcomes me as I jump on
Rising again
Towards the sun
My friend
Perfect co-ordination

..up..

...down...

Jumping with excitement again

Exhausted I stand
Stretch and grin
I head back to my favourite
The best ride of all
The swings
