"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned."

"Confess your sins, name them, and you will find forgiveness."

"Forgive me, Father, for I have murdered."

"You…murder?"

"I killed a man, Father."

"Who, my child?"

"I'm not a violent man, Father, but my wife, when it comes to my wife I…I'm -"

"It's all right.  You're safe here."

"I know, Father, I know.  My wife.  I love my wife.  Jealously.  And when I found at that she had  - when I saw her with - oh God, forgive me!"

"The Lord hears you, son."

"I…him.  He coerced her, tricked her somehow.  I followed him home, to where he felt safe - alone, oh God what have I done?"

"Peace, my child.  Do the police know?"

"No, Father.  No one.  Not even my wife.  I never, I never thought I could do something like this…it was dark, he couldn't see me, but he knew it was me.  He had to know it was me."

"You must go to the police.  Have they found his body yet?"

"No.  No, Father, but they will."

"You must turn yourself in.  Beg forgiveness in the eyes of the law as you have begged forgiveness in the eyes of God."

"I can't.  Father, I - my wife, this would break her."

"You must not run from this, son.  Do you understand?"

"Yes…I can't run from.  I can't run from this."

"When did this happen, son?"

"I can't run from this…oh God, I'm sorry, I -"

"When did you kill this man?"

"Now, Father.  Right now."
