1.
Ranting and raving
in my sleep
call to my demons.
Alas!
Where be these
knight's nights,
where I could sleep in my
misery?
Tears, not
of agony but
of pain
enjoy their lives
on my cheeks.

2.
I am insane,
I think.
My thoughts
meander without aim,
finding nothing but the
darkness.
Seeping into my
mind
is that darkness,
the aching void
that calls to me:
Should I
answer?
I know not.

3.
If only, if only,
I could just die.
The world could keep turning,
My birds could all fly.
My aching head
only induces my nightmares.
My mouth, my sleep,
nobody cares
what I do with myself
so long as I'm out of the way.
No one can hear me,
my teeth call me fey.
If only, if only,
the birds call to the sky,
if only, if only,
I could just die.

4.
I cannot talk
I cannot sing
my life is gone
with everything
I have ever loved
it all escaped me
and to the void
my thoughts are talking
talking walking stalking
that in the muck
covered in my blood.

5.
I am the
little man,
living in my
little can.
Ever wonder
where I am?
Now you know.
So now go,
into the snow...
Alone!
