Lived in his shadow your entire life.
Never gonna be as good as your old man.
They saw it as a blessing and
you saw it as more of a curse.

Couldn't have known what it was like
to live with a man they all
considered a god.
A god that kept a shotgun under his bed.

"His name is what will get you far."
That's what they said to you.
Well, you showed them all.
Took the family name and made it your own.
Got him back for all those years.

Never gonna be as good as your old man.
Heard it enough times to make you sick.
You gave it all you god.
Gonna give it one last shot.
