Sheltered

Pressing against my gentle skin,
your lips so soft it's a sin.
Shivers running all up my spine,
my soul wishing this would last for all time.
Such a pleasure I did not know was real,
for sheltered had I been these years.
Hidden from the world for so long,
till you ripped my sky open like the dawn.
You released me for my shackled bonds,
to dance across the great beyond.
Reaching down into this hole I live,
you pluck me from these brims of hell.
I owe to you all I am worth,
for it is you that gave me birth.
